I prefer that commenters aspire to the guidelines laid out in Duncan's post "Basics of Rationalist Discourse". I might sometimes delete comments that fall far short, or that seem to be part of a recurring pattern of disregarding one or more of these guidelines.
I consider the responsibility of bridging inferential gaps to be one that is shared between conversation partners. I might sometimes delete comments that egregiously neglect this practice.
No explicit references to Buddhism please, unless I've designated a special thread for that or referred to Buddhism explicitly in the post. For various reasons, I find discussions that focus on Buddhism extremely annoying and counter-productive in this context.
