"A Muggle security expert would have called it fence-post security, like building a fence-post over a hundred metres high in the middle of the desert. Only a very obliging attacker would try to climb the fence-post. Anyone sensible would just walk around the fence-post, and making the fence-post even higher wouldn't stop that." —HPMOR, Ch. 115

talking to a LLM for several hours at a time seems dangerous

(Just to clarify, this comment was edited and the vast majority of the content is removed, feel free to DM me if you are interested in the risks of talking to an LLM operated by a large corporation)

If someone could find a way to rewrite this post, except in language comprehensible to policymakers, tech executives, or ML researchers, then it would probably achieve a lot.
